Real Students, Real Need
Join us this Giving Tuesday to ensure no child is left behind in learning.
Make a difference in the life of a student just like these today.
This Giving Tuesday, you can make a lasting impact on an actual student’s life.
At RITES, we see every day how personalized tutoring builds skills, confidence, and hope. Your donation helps ensure that every child — no matter their circumstances — gets the academic support they deserve.
We have 30 students we tutor who are currently benefiting from our financial assistance program. There are more on the RITES wait list. Our goal is to serve more students, for as long as they need, no matter their ability to pay. For some, their aid is about to end, and we won't be able to continue the crucial tutoring that is working for them. Here are just a few profiles of these actual RITES students:
J.A. is a hard-working, determined student. He came to RITES as a 3rd grader reading simple closed-syllable words (cat, lid, etc.). Two years later, he is reading a chapter book for 5th graders and showing good comprehension skills - the reason we want our students to be able to read! Keep J.A.'s motivation going as the reading demands grow and he builds his writing skills to show what he knows!
D.T. came to RITES as the sibling of one of our existing financial aid students, as is so often the case. As a sweet 1st grader who speaks Spanish at home, but English at school, her RITES reading specialist worked on letter formation and vowel sounds to start. Now, two years later, she is working on grade-level vowel teams, suffixes, and writing structure. We have also needed to add a RITES math specialist, and D.T. is doing double sessions. D.T.'s financial aid ends in December, but her needs and will to succeed don't - help D.T. keep getting the RITES support that works for her!
L.D. As with many RITES students, L.D. is a 5th grader who needs support from different RITES specialists who have different areas of expertise. She not only needs help with reading, but also with math. Two teachers and two sessions a week uses up her RITES financial aid twice as fast, and her package is due to end in December. Help L.D. keep making progress in both areas by giving now so she can continue at RITES through this school year!
This Giving Tuesday, help keep the momentum going for a current financial aid student and invest in brighter futures of others through RITES tutoring. Don't forget to ask your employer if they will match your gift for twice the impact!
Your personalized support makes personalized learning possible for every student.
